FAQ's

Find the answers to your general questions here.

Go to the 'Event Photos' link on the main menu navigation bar. This will take you to a page with all of the events in date order, with the newest at the top. Click on your event to view your photos.

We aim to have photos on the web site within 48-72 hours. However it can take a little longer to process and upload all of the photos from a large event.

Tagging each photo with search terms is a particularly time consuming task for a large event, but we try to include as many as possible within a reasonable time frame.

Downloads are sized for a variety of uses and are offered at varying prices with a small social media size image being the cheapest, up to a full resolution image which may be capable of printing a large canvas or even wallpaper.

Not all sizes shown below will necessarily be offered for all images on the web site.

Description: Download at 400px, suitable for mobile phones, small web use and social networking

Description: Download at 800px, suitable for electronic frames, wallpapers, backgrounds, and websites

Description: Download at 1200px, suitable for 240dpi prints up to 5 inches, for large images on the web, for AV presentations

Description: Download at 1600px, suitable for 240dpi prints up to 7 inches

Description: Download at 2000px, suitable for 240dpi prints up to 8 inches

Description: Download at 3200px, suitable for larger prints

Description: Download full size complete file which may be up to 25mb and is suitable for printing your own high resolution image.

The sizes offered are dependant on various factors, such as cropping of the original image. Therefore a full size may for example only be 2000px but could equally be 5500px. If the full size image is smaller than a lower priced download, there is no need to purchase the full size image.

We also sometimes offer 'Watermarked' download files free of charge or for a nominal charge for social media use. Full copyright always remains with LeisurePics.

Photographs are cropped for a variety of reasons. Sometimes we remove stray arms and legs from the frame by cropping, sometimes a photo might be a more panoramic crop to accommodate a prize winning group line up. We crop as we see fit to provide the best image.

Copyright details will not be printed on your final product, unless you have chosen a 'Free' or cheaper download which includes the copyright watermark. Full copyright always remains with LeisurePics.

Please look in the gallery of your event photos for a button marked 'Price List', usually located at the top right of the page.

The prices are also shown in the drop down box under each photo.

We do not have a standard price list as prices vary between events, depending on the number of photographs taken, the time spent at the event, the distance travelled, how many photographers attended, etc.

Please check the price list for your event. We offer different products for different events.

In most cases there will be a selection of downloads, prints, canvas prints, framed prints and some gift items.

Certainly, please contact us with your requirements.

We can offer many sizes of prints, canvas, aluminium prints, greeting cards, note cards, calendars etc. etc..

Yes please.

Feel free to post your photo on social media, if you could tag us too, that would be fantastic, who doesn't love a bit of publicity.

If you wish to have a photo removed from the site, please use the contact form and tell us the event gallery that the photo is in and the number of the photo and we will delete it from all of our records.

You may use the search box on the right hand side of the main menu bar which will search the whole site, or, alternatively, you may use the search box within each event gallery (on the left side below the main menu bar) to search within that collection only.

We try wherever possible to offer as many search terms as possible. You may try searching for vehicle registrations, event entry numbers, colours, places, or anything related to the event you are searching for.

Tagging each photo with search terms is a particularly time consuming task for a large event, but we try to include as many as possible within a reasonable time frame.

Images and other visual assets can be found using the advanced search engine. It is very simple to use, and has been designed to narrow the search down to the specific files that you are looking for. By typing in a word in the search box the engine will search for any data that contains that keyword. To refine the search add more than one keyword leaving a space between each word.

Using speech marks (" ") at the beginning and end of your search word can also narrow the results. For example, searches for a 'Castle' will also return results with Castle included in the word, such as 'Newcastle'. By using speech marks only the exact term 'Castle' will be returned.

Find the answers to your Stock Photography questions here.

Stock Photography is a collection of professional photographs of landmarks, places, nature, everyday items and scenes, or even people, that are bought and sold on a royalty-free basis and can be used and indeed reused for commercial purposes.

The copyright to all images are owned by the photographer or artist, and no one else can use the images without their permission. A common misconception is that 'Because I found it on the internet, it's free'. It isn't, someone owns the copyright.

Our stock photography is divided into sections, such as: Buildings, Businesses, Places, Miscellaneous, Transport and Editorial only. You can use the search box in each section to search through the 'Stock' section rather than the complete site. More information about Licences can be found in the FAQ's or the Licence pages.

Licensing an image means that the photographer is giving someone permission to use their image to create a certain number of products for a certain time period, for an agreed amount of money.

For example, if a t-shirt company wants to use a photographers image on their t-shirts, that company has to contact the photographer and license the image from them.

Find the answers to your Photo Art questions here.

Digital Photo Art is a method of converting a photograph into a beautiful, realistic painting or drawing using software such as Photoshop.

Most photographs are suitable to be transformed into photo art provided they have enough detail and are a reasonable resolution.

The price you see in the price list is to supply you with a digital image converted to your chosen digital art style.

If you would then like to have that image also supplied as a Canvas Print, Framed Print, Greeting card etc., we can supply those for you too.
